can't write end of disk at once using nero.

A friend of mine has kindly lent me his Sony DRU-500A to try out.
I have tried to use Nero 5.5.9.17 doing a direct copy and making a data disk. Each time I'm getting an error after 100% of cant write end of disk at once.

Also I've tried to install Sony extreme software to give that a try, but I get a runtime error on opening the software. Don't know if this is because I also have prassi DVD Primo installed?.

Anyhow, if anybody know a fix for any of the above it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using Datawrite DVD+R and my OS is XP

Just make sure that the DVD-Writer's firmware is the latest. I would ask your friend before flashing the drive too

Thanks for the reply roach, but I have the latest firmware 1.0d.

I have resolved the sony extream problem, just needed an xp update.

But still no joy with the crash at the end of nero.

Extream is working well but can't see the option to burn in UDF mode which I wanted to do.

There's a problem with nero 5.5.9.17.1, the 5.5.9.17 on nero's site right now is really 5.5.9.17.1 which has the "can't write end of disk" problem. I had to find the original 5.5.9.17 to fix the problem myself.
