Is there anyway I can copy DVD perfectly (or as close to perfect as possible?)
I'm not concerned about fitting on one disk
I do want menus, sbutitles etc
I would prefer to keep surround sound.
I work in a Library, and we are permitted to back up videos so long as only one copy is in circulation, so copyright is not an issue. But we need to protect our investments, as patrons will scratch or break our videos, and purchasing new ones for circulation can be up to 500% of the consumer price. HELP!

Tak a look around this site and maybe www.doom9.org. There are numerous guides and many freeware tools that will do pretty much what you want. About the only problem you will have is that many commercial DVD's are double layer and up to 9.4 Gig caopacity where as recordable DVD (+-R(W)) is only single layer and so only 4.7 gig capacity. If your source is too big you can either re-encode or split it over two disks. As I said, take a look around and find a guide/method that suits you.
