Could you tell us why you are trying to do it?

The Ulead product DVD Movie Factory accepts the input of mpeg2 (compliant ones anyway) turns them into VOBS and will also then cut the dvd (which is what I take it you wish to do) . That`s the easiest route I know as I can`t be bothered with hard to work programs .

The rules on this site are clear too, so I hope you own those 2 movies.
Cause you mentioned MPEG2 I assume you want it to play on a Standalone DVD Player.

DivX is not MPEG2, it is DivX. Different compression.
The way I do it if it is a DivX movie is, get yourself a copy of TMPGEnc, toolame and SSRC.
TMPGEnc will convert your DivX video to MPEG2 video. Then through the options in TMPGEnc you can setup toolame and SSRC as external programs.
Toolame will encode the audio to MPEG audio and SSRC will convert the sampling rate if required automatically.
Just load up the correct DVD Template, click 'ES (Video+Audio)' and if you leave the locked options locked and only fiddle with the unlocked options to increase quality etc (use the convert menu on the left of this Web Page to help you do this with TMPGEnc) then it will create 1 DVD compliant video file and 1 DVD compliant audio file.
After that author with the simple but effective and free IfoEdit (help on this page...http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-dvdauthor.htm).

Just demultiplex it then. Search the Tools section on this website to find a program that does this. You'll then end up with one video and 1 audio file. Then convert the audio to DTS then use IfoEdit for a basic but free way to author those 2 files together in a VOB format.
