    HI all,

So I've an avi with fraunhofer (mp3) vbr audio. Vdub prompts as usually, that the audio is vbr and......

So I save the waw, I put it in Tmpeg to convert it to mp2, and then tmpeg prompts: stream followin error, right at the beginning.

    What could the problem be?

    Pls help me

    Some suggestions:

    1. You could try a different version of TMPG. Some are a bit buggy.

    2. Load the wav into Cooledit or Soundforge, and save out a copy, and then try again.

    3. Convert to .mp2 using HeadAC3he. (You can even try inputting the mp3 to HeadAC3he as source.)

    Thanks!

Headache seems to be working fine, later I only used that sw for ac3 decoding. Do you have any comparison xperience on the output quality of tmpeg/headac3he? I was satisfied with tsunami, I hope I'll be with this sw also.

    Anyway thanks for the solution

I have always been happy with TMPG's audio output, so long as you don't let it do the resampling.

As to HeadAC3he - look at the .dlls it loads (lame, azid ssrc etc). They are generally acknowledged to be the best tools for the jobs they do.
