  1. I have "Titanic" on my C drive and "Doctor Zhivago" on my D drive. The physical drive is one - partitioned.

I have ripped both movies using DVDDecryptor and DVD2AVI.

    I have named the files:

    Titanic: 1_pal.d2v; 1_palAC3T013_2ch384Kbps48KHzs.wav

    Zhivago: 1.pal; 1_palAC3T013_2CH192Kbps48KHzs.wav

When I double click on the .d2v files, both open in WordPad and appear OK in all respects.

When I double click on the wav files, both play fine.

However when I use TMPGEnc I get a problem.

The Titanic file's output has no audio.

The Doctor Zhicago file's audio is fine.

The TMPG settings are exactly the same in both cases as far as I can tell.

Why is it that in the first case there is no audio?

I recently ripped two other movies on the C drive.

    The first one ripped fine.

The second one, comprised 3 CDs. The first two CDs are fine but the 3rd has this problem of no audio.

I am baffled and would welcome help urgently (as I have 3 DVDs to rip in a tight time frame!).

    Thanks in advance.

  2. hrm...i did titanic awhile ago (region 1 though) and had a similar problem...however, for me, the .wav file couldn't play in media player as well..so it may not be the same problem...

but for me, the problem was because the .wav file was too big and tmpgenc doesn't seem to like it very much.

so, i just split up the titanic vobs into 2 groups and encoded them separately as if they were 2 movies, then you can cut/join however you like at the end.
