  1. I'm a newbie to DVD ripping and this forum and had a simple question that I know most here can probably answer. In the program TMPGenc, I was wondering, if you already have .vob files, where do you load them in the program in order to create the .d2v and .wav file?

I'm trying to do the "how to burn a DVD on to a CD no matter what the length". I'm not using the same program they use in the guide, and just needed to know how to create those files from .vob files in TMPGenc. Thanks, and sorry for the newbie question.
If everything is infinite then nothing is definite.

  2. The process is 3-step:

    a) Rip the .VOB files from the DVD using a tool such as SmartRipper 2.41
    b) Use the tool DVD2AVI to convert .VOB to get the .d2v and .wav files
    c) Use the .d2v and .wav files in TMPGenc to encode to MPEG1 (for VCD) or MPEG2 (for SVCD)

This forum has many tips on this topic. Please check out the DVD RIP section.

    Hope this helps.
