Hi guys,
I have some video from a video camera which I want to eventually be stored on my computer as divx and on a cd-r in vcd format
Should I capture the video as divx, then convert the divx to vcd?
Or should I capture the video as vcd, then convert the vcd to divx?
Or should I capture the video as another format, then convert that to divx and vcd, then delete the original format?
I tried to make that as clear as possible - sorry if its a tad confusing :P
Thanks
Matt

Capture as yuy2 with huffyuv compression (lossless) and then convert to divx and vcd. This will create a large avi file as your source which can then be deleted after the conversions have been done. This method will give you the best quality.

Yes, that is what I use.

Ok i just downloaded virtualdub and installed the huffyuv codec and captured some video.. but the file that I ended up with was far from perfect.. it was very slow moving.. would that be because of the 'frames dropped' number? It seemed to drop one frame every second of capturing :/
how can i solve that? use a lower resolution? a different compression?
