I have a sony 725d dvd player and many people have said princo cdr works. I brought some unbranded princo cdrs and burn one audio track at 1x and 4x and it doesnt work. what colour does the dye have to be etc. What software do u use to burn the cds and i have asf files i want to convert to vcd so what software do i use. If anyone in uk has got theres to work people tell me where u got the disks from as it would be a help. Thank you all

Hi guys, do you have a Morrison store near you ? they have an offer on, buy 10 get 10 free (Maxell)£7.99 also Argos have a drum of 50 Maxell for £24.99 these disks will give you no problem, those Vivastar and other cheep ones are not reliable.

Hi
Well that's something I cannot answer I don't have that model, but I have used other disks for music cd's for friends and quite a lot of them never work on some players.
Also the other cheap ones in Argos work fine on my Sony but not on a friends, at the end of the day the Maxell work on everything we have tried. BUT ! no guaranteeSame with TDK they are also no problem

Hi
Sony player is a DVP-NS400D, other models that friends have got are JVC,Sony, Philips they all play the Maxell disks I made, but CDR not CDR-W
I dont think CDR-W at the price is worth having, after all what is the cost of the product you are putting on the CDR -
if the sony dvd players your friends have are older than the X25 series then i believe they can play majority of cdrs, i have a 725d and i think they can only play a few selected disks, due to the lasers, thats why i need people who have these, what disk it will play definatley, i appreciate your help in previous posts, as u seem to be the only one replying

Hi
Well what have you tried ?, Even those poundland disks are good (2 for a pound)
Apart from the VCD, for many years now I have been using the TDK and Maxell for data, when ever I changed to cheap ones some people with cd roms could not read them, but nobody I know had any probelms with Maxel or TDK.
What are you using to make the VCD's ?
When you made a music cd did you "Close" the disk, remember they wont work if you dont. They will play on a PC but not a stand alone CD player, I guess its the same for some DVD players.
If you make a short movie with TMPGENce you are loading in a PALVCD template ? if you stop it after a few min, as long as the burning softwear does not complain then I guess that short Mpeg will be ok. better to chop out an AVI and convert that if you just want a test.
