  1. the movie.avi i got works find as an .avi file (video+audio matches) but when i try to convert it to mpeg. (THe audio was way off from the video.)

Im trying to make it so the video and audio matches in a mpeg file.
I used VirtualDub1.4 to take the wav(uncompress). Then use TGMPEnc ...etc
My mpeg file (audio and video doesnt match up)

Yes, my Avi works on Media player

Didnt try VirtualDub to fix the avi yet (keyframe flag) beacuse i dont think thats the problem.

I have made find working mpeg files b4 but this is my 1st time having this problem

is there any other way to set it so that i can convert with matching audio and video (mpeg file)

  4. I did read your original post and I only mentioned the link because sometimes folk don't set the compression and convertion settings correctly (as per the link).
First try DivFix to see if it spots any bad frames.
If it does....download this version of Virtualdub:
    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html
(scroll down to the "Mp3_Freeze" version).
Open movie > Video > Scan for bad frames.
    Remove bad frames.
    Re-Stream AVI

  5. I'm a little confused here, I might be having a similar problem, when I encoded a DivX to SVCD using TMPGEnc it came out with the video being unsynced with the audio. The audio was the proper length, but by the end the video was about 20 minutes slower then the audio. Any solutions?
