  2. You can have 9 vob's per title. Go to the "What is DVDR" link to the left and scroll down for more info like this.

I Personally have a bunch of movies I ripped and had the vobs break at a chapter break. It was easier to make the chapter breaks for SVCD this way. The Wizard of Oz actually came out as 55 vobs for that 1 title.

To fix all of this up I use IFOedit. With that tool I recombine the vobs and keep the chapter points. I do seem to need the origional title ifo file to get this to work. Doom9 has the guides on ifoedit. If I only have the vobs, I use vobedit to pull out the video and audio and then use DVDMaestro to re-author. In the worst case, I can then set the chapter pionts manually.

  3. I guess if you're gonna take a compliation of VOBS u couldn't really use the original IFO file to combine. So you're suggesting to use VOBEDIT and DVD Maestro.
    1. How would I set the chapter points manually and with what program? Maestro?
    2. also what other program is similar to maestro...i couldn't get it to work on my computer.
    Thanks
