  1. I use nero to burn a svcd and it burns fine but when i try to play it in my dvd-rom it says a "disc with unsupported format in drive d". I dont know what the problem is? Can someone please help me?

    1.) Are you sure your DVD Player accepts/plays SVCD's?
    2.) Have you checked if your DVD Player supports your type of media?
    3.) Which settings in Nero did you use and which version do you have of Nero?

  3. Im using power dvd 3.0 and im using nero 5.5.2.4 and i used a cdr and cdrw to burn the svcd and they both dont work.

    I think this usually means that a codec is missing from your system or is not registered correctly. I don't have Power DVD therefore I am guessing a little. In most Software DVD players for PC you can go to file mode, this is where you have to determine the mpeg2 file to be played. You'll find it in the mpeg2/mpegav directory of the disk. I presume the reason that the error message appears is that just by the ending *.mpg your pc assumes its an mpeg1 file instead of an mpeg2 av.
