I am trying to convert an avi file and then burn it onto a VCD to be played on a DVD player. I used the instructions found at:
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert

The avi file is one that I downloaded. I used TMPGEnc to convert it to an mpeg and then I used VCDEasy to burn it to a CD. When I play it in my DVD player, the resolution is lousy. The picture is fuzzy and sometimes blocky/choppy. I am brand new to this whole concept and I wanted to know if this issue could be due to the quality of the avi file that I downloaded or if I need to change settings either in TMPGEnc or in VCDEasy. The settings I used are those found on the webpage above, and since I just started learning this process, I am not sure how to tinker with them to produce the desired results. Thank you!

  2. They seem to more or less be all like that... However, some people will call this DVD-like... It depends a lot on the person watching, which TV they have and all... It is very subjective.
