  1. i made a VCD that plays on my computer, but won't play on Samsung DVD player. not sure what Samsung model, but it's less than 1 year old and the face says "DVD/VCD player" so i assume it should play the VCD. Tried both a CDR and CD/RW, neither worked. the CDR is made by www.PNY.com, 80min/700mb/40x speed. what i've done to this point:

    1) VirtualDub version 1.4.11 told me the file information of my avi file was 23.976fps, so I chose NTSC film.

    2) Used TMPGEnc version 2.59.47.155 to encode the avi file as mpg. i used online help guide: http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm

    3) used VCDeasy version 1.1.3 to burn. Made chapters, but doesn't have mpeg stills. i used online help guide: http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdeasyhowto.htm

    thanks,

  2. That happened to me when I burnt with VCDeasy, went to Nero and all my VCDs work fine.

  3. Your DVD Player also has to be Cd-r and/or Cd-Rw compatible.
