  1. Hi!
    I have a MPEG-4 (DivX).
    I understand that i cant burn anything else but MPEG-1 & MPEG-2 on a VCD.

    So i want to Convert a DivX file to a MPEG1 or MPEG2
    Can anyone help me find the right tool... i can find it!

  2. TMPGEnc can do that as long as you make sure you have the correct plugins installed. You can also frameserve from VirtualDub to TMPGEnc if you have trouble getting TMPGEnc to read the Divx. These tools are both in the tools section on this site.

    First, let me point you to the whole area to the left. You'll see that there is a section named "Convert". This is probably a section that can help you out. Click the link that suits your needs, i.e. what file format youre converting to, and what program that you are using to convert with.
    Second, let me just say, that when I installed the OpenDivx4 codec, Tmpgenc would refuse to convert my files, and virtual dub wouldnt even read them!
    My suggestion, go back to divx3.11, and read the convert section first. Try experimenting, it wont hurt!

  5. Hi, if you want an easy way to do it and don't mind skimping on quality just open up Nero (must be version 5.5), select "VCD" from the wizard, drag your Divx file over and select "write cd". Nero will then encode the Divx file to VCD and burn it for you!
