  1. OK. i am using dvd2avi to get off my ac3 file.
    although it always shows it to be a ac3-2ch.

    I wonder why is it not 6ch.
    I want to keep the dolby digital.

    oh yeah, and i just ripped my first dvd9 to a dvd5

    i used
    dvddecryper
    dvd2avi
    tmpgenc
    chapterxtractor
    maestro

    now if i could only figure out the dang 6ch
    thanks in advance.

    dvd2avi -> Audio -> Dolby Digital -> Decode????

    it should be
    dvd2avi -> Audio -> Dolby Digital -> Demux all... if you want all track's out...

  3. Yep, as Adder states above, just use Demux All and you'll get the 6 channel sound (5.1 DD).

    DVD2AVI just shows it as DD 3/2. The three front channels and the two rear ones. It just doesn't display the subwoofer 6th (.1) channel, but it will be decoded too & will play back as normal

    ok that makes sense. thanks all.
    i did that on this dvd (star wars one of the import dvd from the laserdisc)

    and i get to ac3 files.

    this is what they say

    AC3 T01 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY -66ms.ac3
    AC3 T02 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY -66ms.ac3

    could you tell me which one would be the best to put it into maestro.
    maybe tell me what the 2 ac3's may be

    thanks!

  5. Well, this one is the Dolby Digital 5.1 (6 channel) sound file (has front left, front right, center, rear left, rear right & subwoofer channels);

    AC3 T02 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY -66ms.ac3

    And this one is the Dolby Digital 2.0 Pro Logic sound file (just contains front left, front right, center & mono rear surround speaker info);

    AC3 T01 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY -66ms.ac3

    So I'm thinking you'll want the Dolby Digital 5.1 file if you have a 5.1 capable amp
