    I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to lift the vocals off a music track using nero?

    it is possible to subdue the vocals. drag the audio track over and right clik the file then select properties. tick the karaoke tab and play with the settings till you are satisfied. its not great but it does make a difference, however you have to do this with each track. hope this helps
