I have an mpeg that I have taken off my tivo and have the wav file all prepared
The video was mpeg 2 but is now Mpeg1 and the sound is a standard wav file thanks to Winamp doing the conversion.
This is where the problem starts. In Virtualdub if I load up the audio and the mpeg I cant use direct stream copy
Need to load it up into Vdub because the audio is out of synch by -500ms (set on the interleaving option)
Is there a way I can mulitplex the audio with the mpeg and have the facility to sort out the sync?
Thanks

Try convert the audio to mp2 with Headac3 and multiplex the video (m2v) with the mp2 file in bbMpeg. If it dont work u must adjust the audio skew in virtual dub add +/-ms to get it in sync......

Do you mean frameserve it from Vdub if the audio is off sync?
As an example. If you have an mpeg with audio thats off synch can you then sort the sync problem out and do a save without having to recompress?
Sorry just a little confused (hungover)
The 2 streams I have
1 x mpv (mpeg2 video)
1 x mpa (mpeg2 audio?) which is off sync with the video
Need a process to convert and allow me to sync.
Thx -
U can open the mpv in virtualdub then add the audio (if not convert the mpa to wav) .Then audio - interleaving - audio skew correction. Save it as an avi and reconvert it again with tmpgenc. If the skew is not constant ...say -400ms in the whole movie, u can just forget about what i have told you
