  1. My DVD player plays both NTSC and PAL VCD's (I am in Australia), but I was wondering which format is best suited when burning VCD's? Or just which format is better all together?
    Cheerz.

  2. A fellow Aussie!

Here, you should probably go with PAL. Most of the source material you'll be dealing with is in PAL an you shouldn't be converting standards for no good reason. Also, although it all multisystems here, most equipment will probably still do PAL better.

If you source is in NTSC, then make an NTSC VCD.

  4. 25 fps = PAL (for all intents and purposes)
29.97 fps = NTSC (for all intents and purposes)
    23.976 fps = NTSC -FILM

Anything else and you are in a bit of a bind as you will have to convert the framerate. Be logical. If it is 15 fps, then use NTSC (as 15 x 2 is pretty close to 29.97).
