  1. Being very excited about DVD Authoring I went out and bought a nice new HP DVD 200e External drive, and a Dazzle II capture card.

I hooked up my video camera, captured the content to a DVD MPEG-2 file and used a variety of DVD making programs like, Sonic MyDVD and DVDiT! LE to make a spiffy DVD. When I burnt to a DVD+R/W or DVD+R it claims that the "DVD burnt Successfully".

The DVD player does recognise that it is a DVD, however no matter what DVD player I put it in, it doesn't work. I checked the HP site for compatible players and my players are all listed so what now?

It won't work if I author to a VCD or SVCD either.

    Someone help me.....please.....

  2. Use IfoEdit to open VTS_01_0.ifo (inside VIDEO_TS folder). Click on Get VTS vector, then check Yes, now IfoEdit will do the magic for you. After done, save it. Now the time to burn. Your DVDs should be playable on 99% set top DVD players out there. THAT'S IT !

  3. Thanks very much. I have followed your instructions and have saved the new .IFO file.

Now how do I burn to DVD? When you have finished laughing at my stupidity.....I am assuming that I take the three folders:

    AUDIO_TS
    SONIC
    VIDEO_TS

and I copy these to the root of the DVD+R??

What software should I use to do this? There is some software that came with my drive called HP DLA...will that work?

Cheers for the help.....I do learn quickly after I have got started!!!

Lastly, can you tell me what I just did?
