    Well, I recently ripped a DVD and I now have a 4GB .vob file sitting on my hard drive. What's the best way to convert this to .mpeg format??


    Please help me out.

    Compliments of doom9.org:

    First, download/install DVD2AVI.
    http://www.doom9.org/software.htm

    Then follow the instructions.
    http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2avi.htm

    Once you have your "faked" AVI file, you can convert to DIVX (GKnot) or MPG (TMPGEnc) or whatever you desire!

    If it is only 4gb why convert it just edit with ifoedit and burn to dvdr
    you wont have a menu but the chapters are there and you can still skip through with remote
