Hi,

I've made several SVCD's with DVD2SVCD. So far I've only burned the mpeg's using Nero's SVCD template. I've been using the 16:9 as 4:3 option in DVD2SVCD. Everything looks great! Plays back just fine on my JVC XV-S300. Also made one CVD... which I think I will continue to do from now on.

My latest one, Run Lola Run, I tried making it Anamorphic and use English subtitles with German language. When I tried to burn the .cue file in Nero, I got a 'not enough room' message. I'm using 700MB, 80 minute CD's. I notice on the info tab on 'Write CD' window, that the same track is listed twice and the 'Size of imge:' is 1,490 MB (Duration 147:39.59). This movie is only 81 minutes long. The .bin file is 745 MB. I burned the first MPG as an SVCD just to see what I would get and it played back full screen (standard 27" Philips TV), German, no subtitles. Same thing with PowerDVD, but it displays 16:9. I was hoping my DVD player would display the anamorphic as letterbox.

Questions... What info is contained in the .cue file? Does it have chapter/menu info, or do I need to use something like VCDEasy for that? Does the image contain the option for selecting subtitles, or is that done with a different program? I've read a LOT of stuff here and it gets to be overwhelming, so I'm asking for a little guidance.

I know I could use the permanent subtitles option and stick with 16:9 as 4:3, but I'm trying to learn some of the other features of this stuff.

Any help would be appreciated... thanks.
