  1. Hello, I´ve downloaded the new version of the EasyVCD (1.14) and the ASPI for XP (I´m using XP Pro) reboot the computer and followed THE instructions to rip a region 2 (Gosford Park) new DVD. When I press the rip it bottom after the DVD scan, I get Run time error 5 Invalid procedure call or argument. it looks like if it does not scan the dvd correctly, and this happens with every dvd I try to rip. I´ve installed the program a couple of times, bat the problem persists.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance.

after Eazy VCD finished scanning the DVD disc, did it give you a message that said "Some of the DVD Files are still locked, Try to unlock with a software player and rescan the dvd." ?

  4. Carolech,

Coincidentally, I had a similar problem with Gosford Park (my copy was Region 1). Using EazyVCD 1.12 I was able to rip but not convert all but the last vob file.

My experience is that maybe one of twenty DVDs won't rip for me. I just go on to another DVD and don't waste a lot of time trying to rip a problem disc. Oddly, it's not always the big hit that won't rip. Gosford Park was one example.

I liked the movie (Gosford Park) well enough to buy it (cheaply) off eBay.

  6. Rob,

Two hundred DVD's is a lot of ripping, especially considering how much time you've devoted to developing EazyVCD. Obviously I've got a lot of catching up to do...

Some irksome DVDs give up after a struggle, but for me the struggle simply isn't worth it. I simply move on to another, more compliant, DVD.

Thanks for such a great program. I've contributed to it and hope to send more in the future --
