hi all how is capping at 352x480 and then encoding at 352x240 any different than capping at 352x240 from the get to? will the quality be better if i cap at 352x480 and encode at 352x240? i am making a vcd. but i have read tons of posts that say if your gonna make vcd cap higher and then resize down? thanks

Capturing at the full vertical resolution (and then resizing down +/- deinterlace) looks noticable better and what you should notice is that the picture is sharper and there is relatively less video noise.
