hi just done vcd using TMPGEnc the video come from a avi the sound is out of skink will i have to live with it or is there a way to fix it .just want to play them on my home dvd player. thanks

I had the same problem. First try playing your source (AVI) file and see if you have the same sync issue. I did. The solution was downloading the latest Win XP drivers for sound (chip--not the soundcard) and video (again from the chip mfr--not the card mfr).
I think the sound chip is the one that solved the problem, although it never hurts to have the latest drivers for everything. I had this only with analog capture. My MiniDV captures (via 1394) never had this.

Use virtualdubb to scan the video for bad frames. Bad frames can cause audio sync problems. If its a constant sync problem, meaning that the difference between the audio and video doesnt increase or decrease as you watch the movie, try using the audio gap function in TPMGenc's source range to off set the audio prior to encoding.
