  1. Hi

I want to cut some sequences out of a divx movie.

I've used Virtual Dub. I set the mark where to start and where to stop, direct stream copy, save segmented avi as.
But at the new avi now, there are two seconds before the point where I set the selection start.

    Can anybody follow me?

I've tried the vcdhelp.com version too. To select that part of video that I don't want, then hit delete on the keyboard, save avi.
    But the same thing.
Virtual Dub don't cut at that point where I set the start mark but 2 seconds before.
But it doesn't work either if I select the start mark 2 seconds behind the "normal" start mark.

So.. Maybe anybody knows another program to cut divx avis or has a solution for this problem..

I think your problem has to do with keyframes and stuff. See the way div-x and a lot of compression algorithms work is that they depend on what was in the previous frame to be able to interpolate what's in the next one. So really it can't just cut it straight like that or you'd be getting half information for the first few frames.
