    I have gotten this error in an avi file in virtualdub. I do have the codec installed and have not installed over it with ffdshow nor other codecs. I can open other dvix compressed files. I can open other files created using the DivX and DivX 5.02 Pro codecs. Is it most likely that this is a corrupted or improperly encoded file?
