Hi,
I'v converted a SVCD, but I noted a jaggy look when I play it back. I used first field, to deinterlace, but Im not sure if thats the best. If I use blend, it makes shadows as people walk.
Anyone make DVD like SVCDs and know the solution?
Thanks,

For watching SVCDs on a TV, you don't need to deinterlace. If for some reason you do want to deinterlace, you should use an adaptive deinterlacing filter. An adaptive filter only deinterlaces in motion areas, which reduces the artifacts you describe. I prefer 'Deinterlace - area based' and Smart Deinterlacer for VirtualDub.
