Ok so I just used the newest version of Eazy VCD and I had it create Bin/Cue files that are nowhere in sight

it said where they went and they just aren't there

    any ideas??

also i ripped goldmember and it worked perfectly

i saw the mpeg files being made and everything

    just no bin cue files

and now the mpeg files are missing too??

pm me if you know anything! thanks

  3. dick_p_t, can I have your permission to add your program to the guide ?
It seems you have a large following and the program seems easy to use, as it does not have a guide yet, I was wondering if you would allow me to add it

Credit for the program will of course go to you!
    Email me for faster replies!

Looking into it, but could you please let me know what settings you used in Eazy VCD to make my job a little easier.

    @jarvis1781, Timoleon

I have just released another patch/updater (1.14e) that will fix the problem of the disepering Bin/Cue files.

    @mlanoue, Laz, jolo

i have also fixed the problem with Eazy VCD Freezing when scaning DVD's with DTS audio tracks with this new update/patch (1.14e).

    Okay I was using:

    XPpro w/sp1 and sp2
    EazyVCD1.14c
xSVCD 2 or 3 CDs (depending on movie) Output MPEG files
    Highest Quality
All Movies are NTSC (the ones I had problem with) Full Screen save for Tuskegee Airmen.

    What I am using now:
    EazyVCD1.14e
all same settings save for movie. I already made CVD of those movies so I tried another movie (Lord of the Rings-Cartoon movie) with the update. I thought that the problem would still be there, but I wanted the other files and just encode it myself to CVD. Well it already encoded it by the time I woke up, so I decided to cut one and put it on a CDRW (had to cut since CDRW is only 74min). I played it in the Mintek and everything is okay. I burned to CD and slapped labels on them and everything seems to work great.

I have only tried one movie so far, but so far so good. I don't know what is different but it seemed to work. I will try some more movies and see what happens, and will send you a message to let you know what the results are. Hope this helps you in your quest of making the absolutely easiest (S)VCDer ever. Pretty soon you will have to make a new slogan -
"Its so easy even my dog can rip DVDs" ha ha...I'd say you are more than half way there!

    Thanks again

I really love this program too!

but I was wondering if there is a way you can make it use CCE vs TMPGEnc as that program just doesn't give the quality that I would like nor the speed

    THANKS!

  11. I think I may have found a possible cause as to the jumpy video problems.

While searching the FAQs I notice an article on interlacing. Being a newbie (50 dvds) I didn't really know what interlacing was, (never cared either until today) so I read it and this is what I found...

Seems that possibly the jumpiness of the video may be caused by the field order being swapped. Now this might have been the problem in 1.14c and probably has already been fixed in 1.14e as I have done one movie and not had that problem again w/ 1.14e

Read for yourself here read the part about field dominance.

Rob, 1.14e update seems to have done the trick m8, thanks a lot! 8)

One small glitch though that I've noticed when it comes to aplying updates. I run a dual-boot system of W2K & XP, I initially had Eazy VCD installed on both O/S to test. When I have applied the updates it only seems to work if Eazy VCD is installed on my "C" drive, even if I uninstall Eazy VCD from my "C" W2K partition I still cannot seem to apply the update to Eazy VCD on my "D" Win XP partition.

Do the updates only look for the sofware if it's installed in the progs folder on "C" drive?

  13. Another vote for subtitling. I love your software, and use it as much as possible, but when I need subs I have to use something else.

I understand it's tough to implement, but we all need a challenge now and again, eh?

    Thanks for the great software!

[/quote]. Play them in my Mintek 2110 DVD player (with header trick, of course) and they all seem shaky (jumpy) whenever there is movement. (like when you pause a VHS tape between frames they toggle back and forth) The motion doesn't slow down or speed up just has that affect.

I have a Mintek also and on the first try at making a SVCD instead of a VCD I had a similair problem. All movment in the scens appeared to have the jitters on the top. Have gone back to just making VCD's.

Another problem I'm having is that when I import the chapters into VCDEasy from Chapter Tractor it goes fine. Then when I play it back in PowerDVD XP the chapers don't work, it just jumps to the end of the movie. Maybe I'll update to the new beta to see if that fixes it.

PowerDVD XP also informs me that my VCD's are in an unsupported file format, didn't have that before either. But it will play the .bin file if I brouse to it, weird.

I wonder if it might have something to do with the fact that I've had to update my aspi layer a couple of times. I tried the 4.47 version for XP and the aspi check in VCDEasy came up no until I updated it to the older 4.70 which works fine.
If it works, don't mess with it, don't tinker with it and don't break it.
