  1. ok, heres the deal. i'm tryin to backup peter pan, it has lots of extra languages and extra angles and crap. i belive i have sucessfully cut out all that stuff with ifo edit, but the ifo's i end up with dont work correctly with the .vob's. when i click the dvd play button in ifoedit while the edited ifo is open, it says 'get number of chapters failed', and the movie dosent play at all. the reason i belive i striped all the fat correctly is because when i use power dvd to open and watch the edited .vob's, everything works right. when i open the orgional .vob's with power dvd, it plays the opening credits seven times over and over in different languages. the way i striped them out was using the strip angle thing in ifoedit. anyways, i was hopeing someone can help me make my ifo's work right, thanks.

I just did Peter Pan Retun to Never-neverland (assuming you're doing this too and not the original Peter Pan). No problems using the doom9 guide "Creating a DVD that contains just the movie". So I left all the extras and menus away.

  3. Have you you corrected the VTS sector's on the new IFO file? If not this could be your problem.
Also make sure you correct the right IFO file. When using IFOedit you must correct the VTS sectors on the right file. (VIDEO_TS.IFO) and not the VTS file.

  6. I am no expert, but ifoEdit has a "Create IFOs" button at the bottom. Click it and point it to your VOBs.

Personally, I've only had pot luck with this. It doesn't really work when my VOBs are not really legal, ie I have about 30 of them for 1 Title because I broke them out by chapters to make SVCDs with em.

I these cases I just use VOBEdit to strip all of the streams and re-author the movie. Quite easy if you don't have any menus.

    Good Luck!
I mean it in the nicest way.

Just move all your ifos, vobs, etc. onto VIDEO_TS folder at the root of a partition and do the testing with for example WinDVD.

As long as the folder is called VIDEO_TS, WinDVD will play it. It doesn't have to be at the root of a partition. If the folder is on a network share then you will need to map a drive to the share, as it doesn't seem to support playback via UNC paths.
