    Hi.

Is there other editing software similar to VirtualDub that have something like "Direct Stream Copy" for both video and audio? Please and thank you. Does Adobe primer do that? Please and thank you.

    Hi.

I have this .avi that I want to burn to a cd, however, it is just a tiny bit to big. I thought maybe I could cut a little bit of the movie out, so it would fit on 1 cd, however, when I tried to take some off with virtualdub it gives me a VBR audio encoding error. When I get that error, if I do not save the wav file then add the wav that I saved, the voices are off, however, if I save the .avi with the wav I added, it makes the .avi a lot bigger even in "Direct Stream Copy" for both audio and video.

So, I was wondering if there was different burning software that will make the file smaller and not bigger with the different settings maybe like with what virtualdub gots or is there a way to fix virtualdub with the vbr error to where it will make smaller instead? Please and thank you.

I apologize for not being very clear before.

you can cut out the end credits(and beggining if you wish) to make it fit on 1cd. virtual dub is a great editor, you just have to learn how to use it.

first off you now have to get a different kind of virtual dub. better yet, read this.....it should help you out.

Nandub will deal better with vbr audio, and will also let you cut to the nearest keyframe at a chosen filesize.
