  1. Has Anyone ripped Lotr Extended Version

The movie is spread over 2 discs.

    chapters 1 - 27 Disc 1
    chapters 28 - 48 Disc 2

Is there anyway i can join the ripped vobs so that when i re-encode i can get this onto 1 dvdr.

If so could someone explain the steps involved please.

    try vobmerge:

just put the vobs you want to combine into program and select "merge"

  5. If it gives you trouble, I'll just say that the 4-disc version is worth buying.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  6. I'm with Mirror. If they put that much effort into a disc set, it would be considerate to buy it.

If you're making a back up... then by all means. I would probably re-encode the video so it took up less space. Also, in doing so, it would be quite easy to join the MPEG files.
