It's not to funny to spend hours to make stuff that someone later copies. I accept that they copy it(and translate it) but I do not accept that they do not link to where they got the info/images from.

I have emailed them about that. But they says that the "...The information it's free, my friend...."

I just sent them an email telling them that I didn't appreciate the fact that they are just claiming all of the credit for the work that many people have done to make this site a very helpful place to look. I also asked them to give credit where credit is due. I think if others start telling them thier objections (if they have any of course) via email, they may just vcdhelp.com it's earned credit.

I'm the webmaster from VCDSpain, and all it's not true.
I have used the Photos, but the text isn't exactly like the VCDhelp manual. I have said to Baldrick that, he haven't discovery the use of the programs, and later... that de information it's free.
The 80% of your guides aren't writen by you. I have 150 Manuals on my site and i have writen around 135 and i don't ask for money to my visitors ( Thief ) i do it because i want and because i want to give a service to people FREE. Because the information its Free. I don't boring the people with Amazon and asking for money.

if you used the images from this site, would it have taken so long just to mention that fact somewhere on the page that you made. it's not the fact that you used the free information, it's the fact that you are claiming it as an original work. I bet Baldrick doesn't even want to get paid for the use of His Images.

First of all don't even begin commenting on his grammar. The person runs a site in SPANISH so there for his primary language is SPANISH. Name calling and demeaning this person will not solve the inherit problem. This is unfortunately the problem the internet has created. The irony is so blatant that it is scary. We have this huge section on DVD ripping which is decrypting a disc and copying it and now we have a problem with a Spanish website possibly stealing guides from this site. We have turned into the MPAA!!! Ack! But seriously, anyone can take anything anymore and call it their own. From stealing pictures, stories, term papers, the list is endless. If we were the source of these guides then we should get recognized. If not then we can't expect that. In the end I wouldn't hold my breath. As Stinky said, start tagging and watermarking everything posted. Text you really can't do anything about.

@Baldrick...Hey don't let a few people stealing from the site bother you. Those of us that use this board on a regular basis appreciate the work you and the rest of the team put into it. Take the flip side and think about how good the stuff on here is...it's so good that other sites had to copy it. Why not work in conjunction w/VCDspain so they can translate some of the guides on here to overcome the obvious language barrier that some users have? Overall, this site has been the best source of info that I've found when it comes to this stuff. Screw em' all, don't let it bother you if they want to be like that.

@sullen...I agree w/you namecalling is uncalled for and irony is rearing it's ugly head.

@vcdspain & other sites...give credit where credit's due, that's all we're saying.

I don't even know what he means (and where he gets off) by calling you a "thief", baldrick. It seems he is implying that you charge us to use the site. How can he compare his site, being free, to this one, also free. Spanish, or not, this does not make sense.

Just e-mail the web host that the site runs on and complain. They will check into it and if they feel he is infringing on your rights then they will tell him to either remove the questionable material or his site will be taken down. Some sites were copying guides off of http://www.doom9.net and after e-mailing the web hosts I think they got taken down.
