  1. I have captured some video from my Digital * camcorder to the hard drive in the obvious AVI format (4GB per 20 minutes). I have no problem using Tmpeg to encode to a MPG2 file, but CCE states it does not have the proper codec? Anyone ever have this problem?

  2. Hi

I had to install the "MainConcept DV codec" before I could begin to open any Sony MiniDv-firewire captures on my Pc (aside from Premiere 6 which recognized the file) once I did though, I could use TMPG to encode the file. On the tools page under codec there should be a link to where to download it. Maybe this will help with the CCE encoder, I have tried it out.

Say, how did your Mpeg2 file turn out from TMPG? I'm having a problem with my CBR SVCD encodes from the DV captures- there's always a point on the Mpeg2 file, be it played on PC or on a Dvd player, where the file will skip and stutter after a few minutes. Replaying it again, the skip happens at the same spot. Have you had any results like this?
