how many people have sync problems with divx to (s)vcd, just curious as i find that around 80% of the time a movie is out of sync and no matter what i do it stays out of sync.
I've have almost given up on this i've wasted countless cdr's & spent a week's a/l trying to sort this out with no success so what i need to know from somebody who does divx to (s)vcd is tha answer to th above question or should i just give up and get an x-card.

  2. I have over 200 movies converted and maybe 4 or 5 have had non-repairable sync problems.
All the others have been just fine.
As long as you have all the latest codecs, use uncompressed WAV for audio source and make sure Environmental Settings are proper....you should be fine.

your audio is out of sync because it is recorded with a variable bitrate. to fix this use vdub. open file then go to audio. check full processing mode, then go audio/conversion check 44100, 16bit high quality, stereo. save the new wav or save the whole avi but use video/direct stream copy.

  5. Virtualdub > File > Open > (open movie....ignore warnings if you have any) > Audio > Full Processing > Audio > Compression > No Compression PCM > Audio > Conversion > 44100 (if VCD) > File Save Wav.

Load resulting WAV into TMPGE and use it as Audio Source
