I'm trying to just extract a single chapter (closing credits music) from a dvd so I can use the DD5.1 music as menu music. I HAVE successfully extracted just the .ac3 track.
However,
When I try to import it into Maestro I get a media error. I assume this is due to the timestamp on the track. Is there any way around this? I'm using smartripper. Is there any setting you can do in smartripper (or dvd decryptor) that will get rid of the time stamp?
The reason I think it is the timestamp is because I also extracted the same track's .dts file and that imported just fine.

Try strip the last chapter by smartripper, and then use DVD2AVI to downmixed the sound track to wave file.

It is not. It is more like a prologic.
I assume since you using it for menu music, this piece of music is light and easy listening, and not too much light saber action in it. -

Any more suggestions? Any programs out there that just remove the PTS? -
It may be a problem with the AC3 stream. Try AC3FIX which may fix the problem. It should be available free on the net if you search for it.
