    Hi guys, am having trouble with TMPEnc. everytime i load a movie, and 6% into the conversion the program freezes. Can anyone help me with this. I have used the program before and it has worked perfectly. I have no idea what why it freezing up

    What type of video is it? What are you trying to convert it to exactly?

    Am trying to convert avi to mpeg1. I dont i understand why the freeze.

    That's weird. I've converted some AVIs to MPEG1 with TMPGEnc so I know it doesn't like some AVIs. Maybe it's a bad AVI. Try opening it up in VirtualDub and see what the audio/video codec are too. Like one of the AVIs I had trouble with had a weird audio codec so I converted them to PCM sound.

    You need to scan the AVI for bad frames, remove them before using TMPGEnce. There are a lot of posts on this.
