  1. Hello, what do i need for program to convert from mpeg4 to mpeg2.
    My problem is that i can't burn a VCD or S-VCD disc from a mpeg4-file,
    must i re-encod or what??

  2. You need to encode to mpeg1 for vcd or mpeg2 for svcd. To do this use TMPGEnc. See the how to convert guides.

  3. You probably dont understand my question. I know how to use TMPGEnc, but what i can't figure out is to convert a mpeg4 to a mpeg1 or mpeg2.

  5. avi, divx and xvid are types of mpeg4 compression codecs

  6. Ok, i understand, but why can't i burn my file xxxxx.mpg with CDRWin 5 or easy cd creater. Can it be a newer version of mpg or i miss somethings in the settings?

    just follow the guide - remember to follow the part that says


    "Note 1! If your source is DivX,ASF or SMR it is best to extract the audio separate to a wav with virtualdub because the audio source is often in vbr format which tmpgenc can not handle that well(causes sync problems). "[/quote]

    is your mpg a mpeg1 or mpeg2. your software must support burning of mpeg2 (supervideocd) in order to burn it.

    or you can try to burn it as a non standard videocd. not familiar with your software, i use nero instead.
