Having a problem with converted SVCD's from DVD's being too dark, wondering if it's an interlacing issue.
My source is a NTSC DVD that I want to backup. Yes, I own the DVD. Anyway, it's NTSC, 16:9, 720x480, etc. When I convert to mpv in MediaPipe, the Interlacing is set to Top field.
1) Is the source DVD rip interlaced or not (progressive)? Is there a utility that will tell me this, or is it always one or the other?
2) Since my viewing medium will be TV, and I'm using an NTSC source, should I be using Interlaced "bottom" in MediaPipe (not "top")? Or should I use "progressive" if the source is progressive?
Much thanks,
rockinsage
