  1. How can I make a VCD that will autorun when put into a PC?

    I've put acrobat reader to on CD's before to launch pdf's so even if the reader isn't installed it will work. Can I do this with Windows Media Player or some other player for autoruning a VCD?

    Thanks for any input.

  3. Ok thanks. typical newbie huh.....

    Ok I've put WMP on the disc now and I'm going to run it from the disc.

    I've got this so far and it's working fine:

    [autorun]
    open=WMP\mplayer2.exe MPEGAV\avseq01.dat

    WMP obviously is the folder which has the exe in it. Ok my question now is how do I make this play at fullscreen? I've done a search and it brought up afew results but I'm still abit unclear on where to put fullscreen with this method.

    Thanks,

    Jake.

  4. [autorun]
    open=mplayer2.exe/play/close/fullscreen MPEGAV\avseq01.dat

    Ok I've tried this and it didn't work. I've seen posts saying it did for others so I'm not sure what to do now. Change / to \?

    Any ideas?

    Cheers.

    Jake.

    Perhaps you should have spaces between the commands:
    mplayer2.exe /play /close /fullscreen
    Not sure though...

  6. Hey thanks for that I'll give it a try.

    I've also tried this with no joy:

    [autorun]
    open=mplayer2.exe VCD.ASX

    <ASX Version="3.0">
    <Entry>
    <Ref href="MPEGAV\avseq01.dat"/>
    </Entry>
    </ASX>

    With the autorun.inf and VCD.ASX at the root of the CD.

  7. You've looked at these guides?

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/autorun.htm
    http://www.pcphotovideo.com/burning1.htm

    On the second I contributed the asx sample. It works well. The DURATION tags are not seen by mediaplayer though so you can skip adding them.

  8. Hey Kitty. Thanks and yes I'd seen them. I can get it to autorun no problem but I can't get it to autorun fullscreen.

    I've got WMP on the cd too and with the ASX way I think I'm missing some parts or extentions it may need to have access to to work, not sure. Can you use fullscreen comand with version 7 or do I need to put 6.4 on the disc?

    Thanks,

    Jake

  9. When I use this autorun.inf with the spaces added.

    [autorun]
    open=start mplayer2.exe /play /close /fullscreen MPEGAV\AVSEQ01.DAT

    I get Access to the specified device, path or file is denied.

    Any further thoughts?
