  1. Hi,

    I have an MPEG 1 file which I would like to find the bit rate etc. Is there anyway I can do this?

    play it in media player and look at the properties or open it in Bitrate viewer (see tool section)

  3. Hi BJ_M,

    I have tried this and it says the bitrate: unknown, media type: Video, Audio Codec: Ligos MPEG Audio Decoder and Video Codec: MPEG Video Decoder.

    I presume that Ligos was used to encode it but I am unable to work out anything else from the properties.

    ligos is your codec used to playback the files ..

    use bitrate viewer (free for basic version)

    btw -- went to your website , im working late (its 5am) , my audio was turned full up and the sound of the camera shutter on your site made me jump a meter and flip my chair ..
