I'm confused. I have home movies I am capturing through my advc-100....the problem is that it stops at 9 min and 26 seconds no matter what. I hit capture and split about 3 min into it.....and then just let it go, and the second file after the split was 9 min and 26 seconds long. I have "no limit" set so it should just go and go, but it doesn't. The file is like 2.5535 something gigs, so I don't know what is up. Any ideas? Running XP, fast processor lots of ram.....thanks.

I dunno, I switched to type2 and got myself the mainconcept codec. Type2 lets me record as long as i want.

The Canopus codec is a Video for Windows type-2 DV codec and is limited to 2GB so even if the file is bigger the codec won't play more than 9:26-something which is the 2GB limit. Hope this makes sense...
Normal DV type-1 and large type-2 are played using the MS Directshow DV Codec and it handles large files...
