  1. I recently put a number of shorter MPG's together using MPG Tools in TMPGEnc to make 1 large MPG.

When I try writing, it tells me the file is not in a format for VCD 2.0 using Nero.

I then click to encode to proper standard using Neri but the quality is appalling. The picture is stuttery and all pixellated, and it is barely unwatchable.

If I try to write the original MPG's individually, there is no problem as they were ripped for VCD 2.0 individually and all is OK.

The picture quality is perfect on the MPG's.

    Where am I going wrong?

  2. When you merge them in TMPGEnc there is a little drop down box for file type, you need to select mpeg1 video CD.

The reason the picture is bad is that with each encoding process there is a loss in quality, and nero is a crap encoder.
