  1. I installed the virtualdub handler and then ran a frameserver for a divx movie from vdub. I then tried to open the frameserver with tmpgenc and it opened fine, but when i try to encode it gives me the error "Illegal floating decimal point calculation order." Can someone tell me why its doing this and how to fix it? thanks

If TMPGEnc freezes or crashes when converting or you receive errors such as
    Unexpected decimal point calculation
Illegal floating decimal point calculation order
Try first to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.
Or try to convert the audio to wav before converting(If you have problems extracting the audio using Virtualdub try use Goldwave or AVI2WAV).
Or try to repair the AVI,DivX or the ASF.
Or try to use avidefreezer to fix your video source.

  6. If you still have the original DIVX.
Extract the whole audio as WAV with Virtualdub.
Then enocde with TMPGE and use the source range and batch encode to split the movie during the encode process.
If you are not sure of these process'....let me know.
