hi i have an mpeg file that is 1.56gb and the program is 2hr 50mins long. to save and coz i have a few of this files i want to convert it to avi and to fit on a 700mb cd.
can anyone suggest the settings i could use with divx 5.01 and audio converstion. im a newbie to this so i'm not sure what bitrate to use and audio codec to use. i have tried but they turn out too big or crap quality
please help

Why? Are they in VCD format? If yes then burn to 3 cd-r's they cost .50¢ a piece!! going to divx just means a re-encode and an additional loss of quality that you can never get back!!

i thought of that but i will have over 62 of these programs in all (its ufc 1-40 and pride fc 1-22)
62 x e =186 cd's
