system crashes while capturing from virtualdub

Hi,
I am having this really strange problem capturing in virtualdub. After capturing for about 2-3 mins, my whole system hangs up except for the channel that is showing in the vdub screen. I'm left with no option but to reboot using the restart button, even the mouse doesnt work . I use pixel playTV pro with huffy for video compression. Hope you guys can give me suggestions on this one.

this problem I had too with WIN/XP. My problem was that the vendor of the tv-card didn't offer new drivers. So I looked for basic BT878 drivers (WDM) in the internet. After installing them all worked well
