What's the lowest bitrate for Divx single pass encoding to save out a movie for archiving? I could set the rate really high but that's a waste of disk space. With MP3 IMO that minimum is 160kbs and higher bitrates give less and less improvement.
Is there a Divx bitrate that's a good minimum bitrate? This would be to archive files that are 704x480 at 29.972fps. Thanks.

I saved a show at 720 x 480, 29fps @the highest setting...but that's just me, i have plenty of disks, so i'm not worried about wasting.

Depending on how good the source is, if it's for archiving, I'd do at least 2.5 - 3k.
