Is there any hardware/software that allows the capture of analogue in Premiere?
I work with a laptop so am limited as to what I can use (i.e. no cards). I have a hardware gismo from Pinnacle 'Studio Online' (quite old by now) that converts from my VHS machine's analogue phono output, to digital in via USB, but I'm not very impressed with the quality.
If there's nothing that works together with Premiere, fair enough. But can
anyone recommend anything better than what I have? Thanks.

Many thanks, BJ_M, for taking the trouble to list all the software. Unfortunataly, as I said in my posting, I'm using a laptop and so can not make use of any cards. THAT'S my problem. It has to be external hardware connected via firewire (preferable) or USB.
Can you, or can anyone else, suggest anything? Thanks. -
Jeez! Not exactly the cheapest - but I guess you get what you pay for.
Many thanks.
