Anybody know the hack for Curtis DVD 1140? Thanks in advance for your help

Aren't those DVD players, region-free to begin with?

No they aren't. There are some regions that I can't play, like 1A

Region 1A? Where's that? I have heard of regions 1-6 and region 0 but not Region 1A.

A store in Montreal is selling the Curtis DVD 1030 as a multi-region DVD player. So I assumed that they were region-free to begin with. Although the salesperson told me that you also needed an NTSC and PAL TV to play PAL DVDs. The store is called Davidson. Their phone number is 514-866-3359.
