Hi, sorry if this question has been often asked, I tried to search for an answer but came up with nowt. My problem is I have an AVI (DivX) of ptich black that plays with perfect a/v synch. If I convert (TMPG, CCE or Mainconcept 1.2) the audio is out of synch. If I save the avi in virtualdub with uncompressed audio the new avi file has out of synch a/v, any subsequent encodes are also out of synch. I have also tried extracting the audio as a wav and encoding using separate files, does not work. I have tried to stretch the extracted wav file (which is about 5 seconds too short) with sound forge and placing it alongside the video file in premiere but the a/v is still out of synch. I have played around with manually trying to get the audio in synch by moving the audio on the track in premiere but can only get the beginning and not the end in synch.
I could rent the dvd and rip it but I don't like to be beat, somebody please point me in the right direction as to how I can resolve this before my wife leaves me.
Thanks in advance.
