  1. Ok..
Just converted my avi file with TMPGEnc and the mpeg played fine on my computer. I then burned a video cd and when i tried it on my dvd player it was all distorted and in a small fraction of the screen. Then, i tried running the dat file on my comp and ghot this message form windows media player..

A device attached to the system is not functioning :
This error happens if you use Microsoft Windows Media Services and Windows Media Player on the same computer and attempt to view a file in Windows Media Player that is streamed by the same server.

Windows Media Player must be installed on a different computer than Windows Media Services.

    end quote.

I dont know if it was a problem with the mpeg conversion or the actual vcd process. It appeared to have worked ok.

Any ideas please?? I was using NTI CD-Maker 2000 and i only bought it for vcd'ness..it wa sthe only local thing i could find.

    Depressed..

    mike.

  2. wow, never heard such a problem, but for making VCD's or SVCD's the only software I have found that works is NERO 5.5, you go get a demo from their web site to try to see if it works for you.
Also have found out on stand alone DVD players that only certain CD-R's work.
Some will only work correctly if its the blue CD-R's. May have to experiment to find the perfect CD-R's for your DVD player.

  3. Hmmn..
well i dont really want to get ahold of nero..when i installed this cd-writer it screwed up my computer as it conflicted with the other program on there and it cost like 200$ to get it fixed. Besides i just paid 100$ for the program so i kinda want it to work..

I have the cdrs worked out. I know princos work..

anyone else have any ideas at all? Please?
